In a nutshell
Argos, designed and manufactured by DC Audiovisuel, is a self contained device for a translator, a commentator or a stage manager, with two inputs and two outputs.
Argos allows the operator equipped with a headset and a microphone (dynamic or electret) to listen to two separate sources, and to route his voice to two separate outputs.
The operator chooses the routing through illuminated push buttons that can be configured on power-up. He sets the listening level of each input, and his own monitoring level as well. All settings and levels are automatically stored and recalled at startup.
All inputs and outputs are transformer balanced, and are switchable to mic or line level. Inputs and outputs connectors are TA5M and TA5F; operator's headset and microphone connect to a XLR5F.
Argos is powered by a 9V battery (6LR61) whose reserve is indicated by the flashing speed and the color of the dedicated led.
Argos housing is made of anodized aluminum, its dimensions are 84x108x44 mm and its weight is 380g, including battery
