Sound Devices HX-3, very compact and sturdy, is an amplifier making it possible to feed 3 75 ohm headphones, each with their own level control. It provides two balanced XLR line level inputs or unbalanced 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch stereo inputs. It is possible to connect multiple HX-3's for additional headphone outputs and to sum the stereo signal for mono monitoring. It is internal battery-powered for up to 8 hours from two AA alkaline batteries.
