Very ingenious, ergonomic, designed first of all for documentary shooting, the IDEQUATION bag is an essential tool for sound recordings requiring fast moving and no waste of time, or for recording in small spaces, such as car trunk, or also for shooting under the rain.
This bag can carry, in addition to the Cantar, which will be protected from any attack, 6 radio receivers in a flexible frontal pocket with gusset, a removable side pocket for Lectrosonics IFB or Sennheiser Evolution monitoring system, another higher pocket, also removable, for a lead-acid battery or 2 NP50 batteries with NPC base.
An access designed for cable passage makes it possible to easily and very quickly connect and disconnect the various devices. The front pocket gusset design makes it possible to modify device setting or to change a battery, without mishap.
In order to face worst conditions, the bag is manufactured with lined Cordura® outside and fully waterproof fabric inside. Good seams and high rigidity provide excellent protection in case of shock and the unit can stand upright without falling over, even on wet ground. A large flap with transparent plastic window allows mixer to suitably mix under the rain without risking any raindrop falling on the equipment. A well-padded strap will delight sound mixers with tired back, and a broad and flexible protection cushions shocks against the hip for those who do not own the famous Obelix Gallic belt… Unit balance proves to be perfect for long recording days, and it is also possible to associate a harness to the bag.
One will nevertheless regret a slightly complicated fastening system, because of not very practical and much too small Cantar rings.
Come and test this bag at DC Audiovisuel or call on it at the AES Paris 2006 from May 20 to May 23 on the Aaton stand.
