With some software improvements:
● The user can choose to display the remaining capacity (Ah) or the remaining energy (Wh) on the battery details page. The latter choice gives a more accurate estimate of the run time to empty since all appliances powered by Junior operate nowadays at constant power.
● The brightness of the LEDs and the display can be fixed or modulated by the ambient light. In both cases, the brightness is lower when Junior is running on battery power, in order to save energy.
● The charger is now protected against overheating, for example when shooting in tropical countries: above a certain internal temperature threshold, the charging current is reduced in successive steps. But charging is not suspended.
The first series obviously benefited from these improvements.
Junior is still available for rent and sale at DC Audiovisuel.
